Hi, I'm Mikka
VITA Certified Sex, Love & Relationship Coach
For most of my life, I tried to be the “good” girl everyone wanted me to be. For God. For my parents. For a husband whose emotional abuse took me nineteen years to even let myself name.
I bent myself into whatever shape was needed. I performed. I pleased. I got so good at reading everyone else that I could keep them comfortable without a thought for myself. I didn't have words for it back then. I just knew I felt small, and somewhere underneath I believed I was broken. I didn't know who I was. I felt alone. I went numb. It was always about everyone but me.
When I finally saw it clearly, I was heartbroken that I had let myself be treated that way for so long. But seeing it is what let me leave. I walked away from the marriage, and from nearly everything else I thought defined me. I hit rock bottom. I had no map for who to be or where to go.
But leaving didn't heal me. It only gave me space to ask, for the first time, who I actually was when no one was telling me who to be. For fifteen years I threw myself at it: the therapy, the self-help books, anything I could find. I was hungry to understand myself, hungry to change. Most of it helped. But something was still missing. I understood my story, and I still did not feel love for myself. What I felt was anger. Anger that I had let others run my life. Grief for the years and the chances I never let myself take.
So many of us accept far less than we deserve, not because we are weak, but because no one ever taught us our worth. I know that place. I lived there for a long time.
It was not until I found somatic and embodiment work, and the ancient wisdom underneath it, that something finally shifted. That is when everything changed. Instead of judging myself, I felt compassion. I felt love. And I finally knew the truth: I am not broken after all.
I do this work because I know how many women are standing where I stood. Stuck, hurting, desperate to change and not knowing how. Women who have done the therapy and read the books and are still searching. My deepest passion is to help as many of them as I can, because this work does not just heal one woman. It heals generations. I want to help her find what I found: the path inward that no one showed me sooner.
